Twin Day

            Im twinning with my exchange student Ylenia Gullotti from Germany. When I met her for the first time, I wasn't only surprised that we looked similar physically but we also dressed the same. You know how I love my flannels and sweaters, well so does she! so of course she was my other half on twin day. It was a piece of cake for us considering that our closets were mirror images of eachother.

1. Flannel

the single most amazing invention by humankind

I couldn't agree more. Flannels can be worn so many different ways; on the waist with a skirt or pants (making leggings acceptable because yes, your butt will be covered), as a buttoned up shirt, or even as a jacket. It is a staple for fall this season. I have pretty much worn one everyday this month. I love pairing it with a skirt, I look like a 90's grunge feminist and it's perfection.

Colors are everything! Style is all about color and creating a great contrast in your outfit. Maroon and Mustard are fantastic hue's that look great together. They are also good Fall colors! There are complimentary colors such as red & green, blue & orange, yellow & purple. Make sure you take into account that colors can make or break an outfit!

Sunday Best

Happy sunday! Sunday's are by far my favorite day on the week because I am obligated to dress up for church.  I believe dressing up at least once a week is healthy. It's definately a confidence booster to look fabulous. which I am never opposed to. I was always scared to wear boots to church, I don't know why! I have pretty much worn them every sunday since I bought them three months ago at Pac Sun for $46. Not a bad price for adorable boots right? Nothing has to be expensive to be nice but you might not want to take my word for it. Im kinda the cheapest human that has ever existed.

Sydney Scruggs wearing a Superman inspired outfit. With a comic crop top, a red, blue, black and white flannel and a red beanie, also paired with a gold back pack. Flannels and beanies are an ultimate must have for fall and winter! Some of the cutest flannels are found at local thrift stores. You can also make your own cropped top by finding a cute tee and simply cut it so it hangs just below your belly button (cut a little longer for shrink room if needed).

Kenna Twogood

This is Kenna Twogood. Kenna is a Junior this year at Bountiful High. You can always see her pulling off some effortless pieces. Her style is simple and edgy and that's what we love to see. Here in this pic you can see her wearing her DM's and giving her outfit that extra grunge appeal by wearing a tie waste flannel and wearing a graphic baseball tee and styling it with some simple accessories.

Creepers AKA my new fave sneakers

I finally bought a pair of creepers. I have been admiring these ones from  H&M all summer and since they were on sale for only $15, i couldn't resist. I usually don't wear sneakers other than my basic black converse high tops so styling a shoe such as this one was difficult but I enjoy a challenge. Creepers have slowly creeped back into the fashion scene and Im thrilled over it.

Biker/Rocker

Studs on Studs :) Feelin sassy?! Studs are the way to go. The less jewelry the better when wearing studs. They already have shine, so adding on tons of jewelry isn't needed. Black leather, mixed with the studs gives you the perfect biker/rocker look!

Skull's make everything better, and even the simplest amount of accessories. A couple rings and a necklace! Converse are another way to make an outfit seem more grunge or vintage. Black is the classic All Star style, but a pop of color on your shoes can make an outfit work!
